Honors: None Found
Review: The Lost Boy is a sequel to the very popular A Child It. In this autobiographical novel Pelzer describes his life after being removed from his extremely abusive mother by the government. He recounts his many foster homes and the difficulty he had fitting into a new world. Pelzer inspires once again as he recounts his hardships but manages to find hope and inspiration. Opinion: Thankfully this book was not as painfully sad as his first book, but I still felt very connected to Pelzer as a young boy and teenager. Somehow this book was a little lacking, but still important. I really wondered about his life and how he turned out after such a rough start so I am glad I was able to read this book.
Ideas: Display both Dave Pelzer books together, though they probably won't stay long, these books are so popular and seem to constantly get checked out.
